SPMABC - Gauging Interest for Our First Meeting in Kelowna, BC

Hello SPMABC Members,

We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to share that we are considering hosting our very first meeting in Kelowna, BC. This potential event would mark a shift from our previous meetings held in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island.

The proposed location for the meeting is the Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport, situated at 5505 Airport Way, Kelowna, BC. We are looking at a tentative date of Tuesday, November 4^th 2025 for this gathering.

We would like to emphasize that this event can only take place if there is sufficient interest among our members. Therefore, we kindly ask you to respond to this email if you wish to attend.

Specifically, we would like to know:

1. Are you interested in attending the meeting?

2. If so, approximately how many representatives from your company might be attending?

Your feedback is vital for us to move forward with planning. If you wish to attend, please reach out by Friday, August 15^th 2025 so we can make an informed decision about whether to proceed. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to hearing from you!

In Memory of David Hargreaves - Memorial Service June 25th

Hello SPMABC Members,

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of David Hargreaves’ passing on June 12th 2025, at the age of 71. David was the former owner and operator of Ridall Pest Control and a long-standing and valued member of our association and pest control community.

David was a dedicated member of our association, attending every meeting and conference with enthusiasm. He cherished the camaraderie at our annual banquet dinners, alongside his beloved wife Gerry, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years. A true gentleman, David was known for his kind-hearted nature, infectious laugh, and great sense of humour. His passion for our industry and respect for his customers and employees made him a remarkable presence in our community. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 10:30AM at

Victory Gardens Memorial Park

A payment link will be sent to you via email once your registration has been processed and confirmed. Payment will be required at the door (cash only) if not already prepaid online. 

Please note, we are not able to guarantee at the door registration, as our sessions tend to fill to capacity.
