Hello SPMABC Members,
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Peter Pratap’s passing on January 17th, 2026, at the age of 84. Peter was the founder of Associated Victoria Pest Control, a long-time SPMABC member, and a valued former Board Director who dedicated many years of service to our association and industry.
Peter began his career in pest management in 1976 with Pied Piper in Burnaby (later acquired by PCO), later serving as Regional Sales Manager for PCO in Victoria before starting his own company in 1987. He remained actively involved in the industry for decades and retired in 2014. As an SPMABC board member, Peter was instrumental in supporting SPMABC events and was a strong supporter of professional education and association engagement.
Peter will be greatly missed by his wife Denise, sons Daniel and Mathew, and grandchildren, as well his friends, colleagues, and the many members of the pest control community whose lives and careers he touched.
